2019 RMEF Montana State Grant Program

The State Grant program was established in 2005.  The Montana State Grant Program is offered to organizations throughout the state to fund events and programs such as the National Archery in the Schools Program, 4-H Shooting Sports, outdoor skills events/field days, hunter education, women’s outdoor programs and hunts for youth, terminally ill, mobility impaired and wounded veterans.

Thanks to a successful 2018 fundraising season in Montana, we will have approximately $100,000 to allocate on projects for 2019 in Montana.  The State Grant Committee reviews applications twice a year based on the following schedule:

Cycle 1
Project Period January 1 – June 30, 2019
Cycle 2
Project Period July 1 – December 31, 2019
Submission Deadline:  Friday, February 1
Submission Deadline:  Friday, May 31

Applications that are not complete and do not include the required information will not be considered.  If applicable, consider including letters of support and visual images (such as maps and project photos) along with your proposal as well. These are helpful to the Grant Committee when evaluating proposals.

Proposals and support materials must be sent electronically to Samantha Erpenbach, State Grant Committee Chair, by 5:00 p.m. on the Submission Deadline identified above (February 1 and May 31). Proposals submitted after the deadline date/time will not move forward for consideration.

All eligible proposals will be forwarded to the State Resource Team which will review and score all projects leading up to the final selection meetings on February 18 (via telephone) and June 20 (at the Montana Rendezvous).
